It's done...

I managed to finish up Nomad. I love it. I know I don't wear hats well, but this one is going to be quite warm when walking the dog. And I'm also thinking about using it at work, (dual purpose, can't beat that.
Yarn: Dream in Color "Fatty", 3--100g skeins
Needles: 5.5mm, 6.5mm, 8mm, 9mm
I loved knitting this pattern. It went quite quickly, and the yarn is scrumptious.

Next up, the Tulip Cardigan from Dream in Color.
How can anybody not love this much fibery goodness? The colours are rich, the yarn is soft, and it's super wash to boot.

It's just as pretty in cakes too!

I knit this much last night.

These kits are available at The Needle Emporium. I think I'll have to search for a baby to model this one when it's done.

The aftermath....

Two days can fly be pretty quick! The pies were baked.

The neighbourhood elves stopped by with more goodies!

Mr. Tibbs nestled in for the night!

The next morning presents were opened with glee!

This was gramma's revenge!

Knitterly gifts were a big hit!

I see some lace work in my future!

How did Lady know?

The hat was finally finished Christmas night, and fit perfectly.

Pattern: From Interweave Holiday Knits 2006
Yarn: Nashua Creative Focus Superwash
Needles: 4mm

Lady says " That's enough excitement to last me a year!"

So now we're back to normal, work, house cleaning, and not enough time to knit everything I want to.

Last minute gifts.......

I don't care if I am a fibersnob........this stuff sucks!!!!!Edit:
Kristin asked: "Did you buy it?"
No girl, I couldn't bring myself to do it. I picked it up and just couldn't make it to the check out. My daughter actually got it for me.

All done...

I finished Hip to be Square this week-end. All in all, a very quick knit. Pattern: Hip to be Square, Designed by Julie from the Needle Emporium
Yarn: Naturally Vero 18-50g balls
Needles: 5.5mm needles
Experience level: All you need to know is garter stitch, decreasing and I cord bind off, the pattern is very well written.

So as a reward, Miss "P" and I went to Julie's and bought some yarn for hats and mitts.

For her, Nashua Handknits Superwash, Sarah helped her pick out the colours.
I started the Target Wave Mittens, but quite honestly, I'm not loving the pattern.
I'll probably finish them for her, but I'll make a regular pair too!
And for me, Dream in Color Fatty ! I been wanting to make the Nomad Hat and scarf from Interweave Knits Fall/07.
I thought this would be ideal for walking the dog. Maybe even for work, the colour is perfect to match my Post Office blues. And after that cold wind today, I think I can use this. And seeing as Miss "P" was such a good girl this weekend, and let Gramma get her knitting done, we went to Walmart and got some fairytale magnets. I know her birthday is is Saturday, but I can't help myself.
